Four mornings in the Lauterbrunnen valley

A night train, then a cog railway, then a stone hut with shutters that banged all night. We walked up before sunrise on the second day and watched the fog sit in the valley like water. By the fourth morning we knew every switchback on the trail and were sad to leave it.
